The fun at Lakeside continued during the week with Cassidy trying her hand at miniature golf and both kids practiced hitting the tennis ball with their new racquets. We made it about 9 holes in golf before Cass was ready to do something else, but she did enjoy playing it for a little while. The tennis was a big hit (no pun intended) as both kids have really taken to hitting tennis balls. We have even been practicing in the back yard with me just tossing balls to them so that they can hit them. They are both picking it up quite well. The courts at Lakeside afforded us the opportunity to get even more of the tennis feel than the back yard...even though we still did not use the net.One part of the week that was not so much fun was the annual return of the Mayflies to the Lake Erie coastline. These bugs (or whatever they are) came in force towards the end of the week and I for one, was glad to leave them behind on our trip south to Columbus.
