New York City pt 2

While it would have been tough to top Friday's activities in NY, we certainly tried on Saturday.  We ventured up to Central Park where we Did lots of walking and sight seeing.   It was gorgeous.  Hard to believe we were still in the middle of NYC at times. We ate next to the John Lennon memorial in Strawberry Fields and watched people lay flowers and take pictures while a guy sang and played guitar.
After more walking and shopping, we got ready for our big night out. For dinner, we went to the same restaurant that we went to the night I proposed.  It is a famous old Italian restaurant that is amazing.  Next up was the Ballet. We saw America Ballet Theatre's performance of Swan Lake at The Lincoln Center. It was amazing. The Metropolitan Opera House was amazing.  The sets were amazing and, of course, the dancing was amazing.  World renowned ballerina, Paloma Herrera, was spectacular as Odette/Odile.
It was a great way to cap off a great day and a great trip.

This was the John Lennon memorial with the word "Imagine" in the center
There were amazing stone formations all over Central Park and this huge tree was growing out of the rocks.

New York City pt 1

For our 10th anniversary Jenny and I decided to visit NY since that is where I proposed to her.  On our first evening we visited Times Square and saw many action figures.  On our second day we took the subway all the way downtown to visit the 9 11 Memorial.   It was very overwhelming and very beautiful.  After that we walked around Battery Park and had some NewYork pizza and attempted to eat it the correct NY way.  After a little more sightseeing, we headed over to the pier where the heliport is.  We had reserved a flight and were excited to see New York from above.  What a flight it was!  That evening we had dinner at a great burger place in Hell's Kitchen and actor, Danny Aielo  sat just down from us.   After that we went to see the play, The Nance, with Nathan Lane.  It, and he, were amazing.   We followed that up with a trip to the Empire State Building... the place I proposed 11 years ago.   It was a full day and one we won't soon forget and was a wonderful way to spend our 10th anniversary.
