Before dispensing with the leaves this fall, I made a leaf landing area at the end of the slide. The kids loved sliding into the pile.

Thankful
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family at Jenny's cousin's house in Cincinnati. We have so much to be thankful for and speaking for myself, often fail to take time to stop and remember all we do have. While the turkey and trimmings were delicious, it is our loved ones that we shared the turkey with that we are truly thankful for.

Teddybear Feast
Today was Carter's pre-school room (the teddybears ) annual holiday feast. We enjoyed salad, spaghetti and meatballs and bread. The kids made everything - from cutting all the vegetables for the salad, to making the pasta and bread and butter from scratch! It was all delicious!

Tiny Dancer
Cassidy is now well into her 2nd year of Ballet with this year's class lasting the entire school year. We recently had a parent observation day where we were able to see what she has learned. While her classes involve a creative approach to teaching ballet to children rather than just the technical aspect, the class we observed incorporated a lot of wonderful mix of ballet moves, fun, musicality and an impressive ability to take direction from their teacher. All three of us (even Carter) enjoyed watching the class.

Down on the farm
Fresh air, family and fun all on the farm. This past weekend we spent the day with my brother's family at their family farm. The day was spent exploring the fields, creek bed, woods, old well and barn along with rides on an ATV through the fields. Cassidy and Carter loved playing with their cousins and spending time out in the country. After leaving the farm at the end of the day, Carter exclaimed that he wanted to live there...and then quickly fell asleep.Friday, November 11, 2011
Fall Fun
We had a fun fall get together with the Capper cousins recently and enjoyed croquet, hitting baseballs and eating smores at Grandma and Grandpa Capper's house.

Super Sixth
Six years ago today, Jenny and I welcomed our first bundle of joy into our lives. While the hair has turned from red to blonde, the passion still remains. She has been very excited about turning 6 and looked forward to her "puppy themed party". We had a great time with grandparents and cousins on Sunday, while the 4 of us had a nice dinner out today on her actual birthday.

Calm Camping
While Jenny and I always hope for some relaxation during our annual fall camping trip where we go without the kids, we were especially hoping for some rest this time. It has been a very stressful fall and having a quiet weekend to just "rest" was greatly needed.

Toy Story Trick or Treat
As Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story movies, Carter and Cassidy were ready to head out in search of their loot.
