Last weekend we had a great time at a family gathering at my brother's house. With it being a little farther out in the country than our house and having a lot of land, our kids were able to do some things that they aren't able to do every day. They enjoyed riding on the 4-wheeler ATV, playing with the kittens and baby chicks, and learning to ride (drive it themselves) a motorcycle.
They had a great time with their cousins all day!
A local ice cream shop had a contest where kids could draw their versions of summer traditions and turn them in for a free ice cream. They were happy to do this and thought this was the extent of entering their drawings. To our surprise, we got a call that Cassidy's drawing was selected as one of the winners and we could come in and get her prize and ribbon, etc. So, we went to claim her prize and enjoyed more ice cream thanks to the gift card Cassidy won for her first place drawing!
