Happy New Year!

As we welcomed in 2010 we gave a fond farewell to 2009.  It was a year that certainly started out well with us getting our travel approval in mid January which led to our travel to China on January 29.  We met Carter on February 2 and what a whirlwind it has been since then.  2009 was an exciting year of firsts for Carter and our whole family.  It also saw Cassidy start pre-school in September.  While it presented some new challenges at the end with my layoff, perhaps it will allow 2010 to open new and exciting doors.

We closed the door on 2009 with a home study visit from our social worker who checked in on Carter's progress.  It was our second and we found out, last visit we would have.  It went well and she had no concerns about Carter's development or bonding with our family.  It seems as if we have all four been together for much longer than 11 months.

We then went to Jenny's sister's house for dinner and our "New Year's celebration".  The kids liked the hats and noise makers and we all loved our evening of playing the new Wii.
