Big boy bed...sort of

Thus far, Carter has been in the same crib that Cassidy used as an infant.  He still fit in it and seemed very happy in it.  It was not until recently that we saw him with a leg hanging over the front of it, that it became apparent that it was time to make a change.  Although I am sure that the little monkey could have climbed out of it long ago, it was not until recently that he even showed any interest in making an attempt.  We were not sure if we should get him a toddler bed or a twin bed or if we should try and convert his crib into the toddler bed that it supposedly could convert into.   With the limited space in his room, we opted for the latter.  With his hesitance for change, it ended up being the best choice.  He was not even sure he wanted the front railing removed from his bed, but after getting accustomed to the new side rail...and the fact that he was a big boy who could climb into and out of his bed, he now likes his big boy bed!
