Today is the first day of Chinese New Year and we were fortunate enough to be invited to have an authentic Chinese meal with a couple of families from Carter's birth city of Hefei. We had many different, delicious dishes to choose from. The kids were even given traditional Chinese red envelopes with money in it from a Chinese kung fu master.
We started our celebration of Chinese New Year last Sunday at our group's celebration. The kids enjoyed the lion dance and getting to be a part of the Dragon dance. Cass liked the treats and Carter was thrilled to get a wonderful musical instrument gift from a friend from Hefei.
