Today was the kids first day of school. As Cassidy enters 2nd grade she starts her second year at this elementary school while Carter is starting a whole new chapter as he starts fresh at this school entering 1st grade.
After the obligatory first day pictures, both Jenny and I walked them to school. Having both of them in the school that touches our back yard certainly is more convenient than having one there and the other at a private kindergarten 30 minutes away. We loved that school, but will not miss the drive.
Both kids were excited to start the school year and seemed to enjoy the first day.
Who is Carter's first grade teacher? Our niece Vanessa is in Mr. Harris's class at Avery. They live about a block from the school too! Also, a super friend from high school, Kaci Osborne, is the SLP at Avery... :) Hope the school year's gotten off to a good start for everyone!
