Evidence

The kids were excited to get their walkie talkies for Christmas and have enjoyed using them several times...including with their cousins when we were in North Carolina.  This past weekend, the kids took them outside to play on a warm Sunday afternoon.  For whatever reason, we did not confirm that they had them with them when they came in from playing.  While taking the kids to school the next day, Carter realized he still had his in his coat pocket.  We took that one, but Cass said that she had put hers inside.  We were not able to find it that night or the next couple of nights, however.  It was not until 3 days had passed (the final one with rain), that Jenny was able to find it in the middle of the yard.  Later that night Cass was having problems viewing pictures she had taken on her camera, but when I looked at it to help her out, I found this picture.  She had actually taken a picture of the walkie talkie laying in the yard when playing with it, but then forgot she had done so.  Too bad we had not looked at her pictures earlier, or the evidence would have lead us to the scene of the "crime."
