Dancing in the Street

Last weekend was our annual trip to Charleston, WV to visit my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin from NC.  Charleston is roughly halfway between, so we meet for a fun weekend and let the kids play.  This year we stayed in a hotel that was right in the heart of downtown Charleston, just across the street from the mall.  This was a good thing as we did not have to move our vans all weekend.  We walked in the mall, built animals in Build A Bear, ate at restaurants there and also walked along the river.  The River Walk has been renovated since we last stayed on the river in 2008.  They have a really nice stage area on the river for concerts and such.  This area was put to good use by the girls since Cassidy is starting ballet and Savannah has been dancing for many years.  Cassidy followed Savannah around and they put on quite a show for us.  Carter watched and ran around a little, but left most of the dancing to the girls.
Savannah even babysat the kids while the grownups went out for a little while on Saturday evening.  The kids loved that!
