This year we met with the speech pathologist first. She asked us questions about Carter's speech development and like the little turkey he is, he refused to talk to her. He would even answer our questions with things that did not make sense. He was even smiling when he did this like he knew we wanted him to talk to her. She got the idea that he was doing well, however. Later, he talked up a storm...of course.
Next the dentist came in and Carter was willing to let him count his teeth and look around. This Dr was great and even blew up one of the blue gloves and tied it in a turkey type balloon and then drew on it for Carter. Carter loved this.
Next up was the ENT who needed to look in Carter's left (big) ear. Carter was not happy about this and I had to really work to hold Carter so that the doctor could see in it. There was wax in there, which required some real holding of strong little Carter while they removed it.
Last up was the plastic surgeon who just talked to us about options for the future and that was about all.
Carter did very well overall...especially since it was during his nap time. The whole thing wore the little guy out and he crashed on the way home and remained asleep after we got home.
