While the kids liked the Brutus band member,
the sun was a bit much

We ventured down to campus for the 2nd annual Shelton kids skull session to hear The Ohio State University Marching Band.  We were not sure what to expect with ESPN's Game Day in town for the Ohio State / Penn State game and having their stage right next to the skull session.  Turns out it was not much crazier than any "typical" OSU home game on campus.  It was a very warm November day which was good for our long walk from our car.  The kids enjoyed hearing the marching band and sang along with several of the songs.

Put me in the Zoo

Since it was Veteran's Day, I had the day off and decided to take the kids to the Dr. for a checkup and flu shots (not so fun) and then to the Zoo (a little more fun).  The kids were good at the Dr., but loved the Zoo...as always.  The sunny, warm weather was great and we got enjoy some loud flamingos, a swinging gibbon, some penguins swimming and an orangutan resting.

Birthday Bash Pt 3

Monday was Cassidy's actual birthday and the third and final celebration of her birthday weekend.  Cass got to pick the restaurant and she said she wanted to go to Red Robin and have a cheeseburger.  She liked the burger, but was a little embarrassed when the employees came to our table to sing to her.  
Cass also got to take in a poster with different pictures of her 5 years to school along with snacks for her classmates.
It was a great 5th birthday!

Birthday Bash Pt 2

Sunday was Cassidy's 5 year old party with her friends at Graeter's ice cream.  There were 15 kids there...all of whom seemed to enjoy both the large play area and the ice cream!

Birthday Bash Pt 1

Saturday was part one of Cassidy's weekend of birthday celebrations.  This was the family get together at our house.  Cass loved her Barbie cake!

Pony Party

One of Cassidy's classmates had a birthday party with pony rides for the kids.  While Cass was not sure she would want to ride them before the party, once she saw them, she wanted to ride...and ride...and ride.
